Toledo to Visit Eastern Michigan on Saturday for Noon Matinee

QUICK HITTERS
•  Toledo (16-10, 7-6 MAC) looks to bounce back from Tuesday's 77-69 setback at Central Michigan when it travels to Ypsilanti, MI on Saturday, Feb. 20 to take on Eastern Michigan (13-13, 5-8 MAC). Tip-off time is set for Noon with the game being streamed on ESPN3.
•  The Rockets' loss at CMU snapped a season-high four-game winning streak, while the Eagles saw their brief two-game win streak ended with Tuesday's 86-64 defeat at Ohio.
•  EMU is 4-2 in league home games, while UT is 4-3 in MAC road games.
•  Toledo is tied for second place in the MAC's West Division with Northern Illinois (18-8, 7-6 MAC) and Central Michigan (14-12, 7-6 MAC) and trails Ball State (17-9, 7-6 MAC) by one game. EMU sits in fifth place and is two games out of second place.
•  Head Coach Tod Kowalczyk is in his sixth season at UT's helm and has orchestrated a dramatic turnaround since his arrival in 2010. He possesses a 101-88 (.534) record on the Rocket bench, including a 97-60 (.618) win-loss ledger over the last five years.
•  Kowalczyk has guided Toledo to a share of the 2013-14 Mid-American Conference regular season title in addition to a piece of the 2012-13 MAC West Division title.
•  Senior Nathan Boothe paced the Rockets at CMU with 23 points and 10 rebounds, marking his 13th double-double of the season. Junior Jonathan Williams also tallied 16 points to give him double-digit scoring outputs in 25 of 26 games this season.
•  Toledo shot a season-low 12.9 percent (4-for-31) from three-point range at CMU and tied its season high with 31 three-point field-goal attempts.
•  Senior Nathan Boothe and Williams rank among the MAC's top scorers with Boothe setting the pace at 19.0 ppg and Williams in third place at 17.8 ppg. Boothe also is first in the MAC with 7.4 defensive rpg, third with a team-high 9.3 rpg, fourth with an 81.4 FT%, ninth with a 49.9 FG% and 10th with 3.5 apg.
•  Boothe, who is tied for second in league play in scoring (19.8 ppg) and rebounding (9.8 rpg), has been named the MAC West Division Player of the Week six times this season.
•  UT tops the MAC with 78.7 ppg, 16.8 apg and a 1.48 assist/turnover ratio and is second with a 46.1 FG% and 74.3 FT%. Ohio leads the MAC with a 47.3 FG% and 75.2 FT%.
•  Eastern Michigan leads the MAC in league games only in scoring offense (78.1 ppg) and ranks last in scoring defense (78.5 ppg). The Eagles are also at the top of the league in overall games with 9.5 steals per game and a plus-3.7 margin.
•  Freshman center James Thompson IV tops the MAC with 11.3 rpg and a .668 FG% and is eighth with a team-high 15.9 ppg.

ROCKET ROUNDUP FROM UT'S 77-69 DEFEAT AT CENTRAL MICHIGAN
• The Rockets suffered their fourth-straight setback to Central Michigan after winning the previous six meetings between the schools.
• UT lost for just the third time in 17 outings when outrebounding its opponent.
• Central Michigan's 45 points were the most scored in a first half by a Rocket opponent this season.
• Toledo's 12.9 three-point field-goal percentage was its lowest since hitting 6.3 percent (1-of-16) of its shots behind the arc vs. Kent State on Jan. 28, 2012.
• The Rockets' 31 three-point field-goal attempts tied their season high previously established vs. North Carolina A&T (Dec. 21).
• UT grabbed 11 offensive boards and has double-digit offensive rebound totals in seven of its last eight games.
• The Rockets have won just once in 10 games this season when shooting less than 45 percent from the field.
• Toledo is winless in the seven games it has not scored at least 70 points.
• The Rockets shot under 80 percent from the charity stripe for the first time in five games and are shooting 83.2 percent (89-of-107) from the charity stripe in their last five contests.
• Toledo is 4-9 when less than four players score in double digits.
• Senior center Nathan Boothe led the Rockets with 23 points and 10 rebounds for his 13th double-double. He has led or shared the team lead in scoring and rebounding on a team-best 15 and 20 occasions, respectively.
• Junior guard Jonathan Williams has scored 14 or more points in 25 of 26 contests.
• Junior forward Zach Garber scored 11 points and has scored in double digits in a career-high three straight games. During those contests, he is averaging 13.0 ppg and 6.3 rpg with .667 FG% (12-of-18) and 88.2 FT% (15-of-17).
• Freshman forward Nate Navigato's streak of scoring in double digits ended at a season-high four games. He was limited to five points (on 2-of-8 shooting) and four rebounds.
 
A LOOK AHEAD
 
       The Rockets will play three of their final four games to end the regular season in Savage Arena beginning with a matchup vs. MAC West Division leader Ball State (17-9, 8-5 MAC) at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23. UT will also host Central Michigan (14-12, 7-6 MAC) on Saturday, Feb. 27 and Eastern Michigan (13-13, 5-8 MAC) on Friday, March 4 with a road game vs. Western Michigan (10-16, 4-9 MAC) sandwiched in between on Tuesday, March 1.
