CLEVELAND, OH – Toledo had its game clicking on all cylinders in an impressive 92-59 victory against Cleveland State in Saturday's non-conference match-up in the Wolstein Center. With the impressive win, UT improves to 3-0 on the season for the first time since 1996-97.
The Rockets shot 43.4 percent (33-of-76) from the field, including a sparkling 40.7 percent (11-of-27) from three-point range, and 55.6 percent (15-of-27) from the charity stripe to snap a three-game losing skid against the Vikings on the road. UT's last road victory over CSU occurred on Dec. 11, 2004 when it escaped town with an 81-67 triumph.
The Midnight Blue & Gold, which did not trail at any point today, also dished out a flashy 23 assists against an athletic Cleveland State squad, compared to only 11 turnovers, and had 12 steals.

Jada Woody to top the 90-point plateau for the first time since it posted 101 points against Akron on Jan. 14, 2015.
The Vikings (1-3) were paced by Nicolete Newman with 15 points. Newman was the only CSU player in double digits. Their two leading scorers, Ashanti Abshaw and Khayla Livingston, combined for only 11 points on 2-of-22 shooting from the floor. They came into the contest averaging a combined 39.5 points (21.0 ppg and 18.5 ppg).
As a squad, Cleveland State was limited to 30.9 percent (17-of-55) from the floor, including 36.4 percent (8-of-22) from three-point range. The home team was also guilty of committing 24 miscues, with only 12 helpers. Toledo took full advantage of those turnovers and translated them into 28 points. Â
For the third-straight game, the Rockets started strong and raced out to 12-5 lead at the 5:41 mark. Santucci and Bravo-Harriott sparked the quick start with five points each in the opening four-plus minutes of the contest.
UT continued to play well at the outset and scored the final eight points in the period to hold a 24-12 advantage after 10 minutes of action. Monakana accounted for six of the eight points in the rally to give the visitors a double-digit lead.
The Rockets benefited from a pair of field goals from Boyd to start the second period and make the score 30-15 with 5:58 remaining before halftime.
Cleveland State then rattled off 10 straight points in just over one minute to trim the margin to five points, 30-25, prompting head coach
Tricia Cullop to call a timeout at the 4:24 mark.
The Rockets responded well following the stoppage in play and scored the final seven points to build a 37-25 lead at the break. UT received field goals from three different players over the last four-plus minutes to take a double-digit lead into the locker room.
Toledo shot the lights out from beyond the arc in the third quarter, knocking down five triples to open up a 56-45 advantage. The quintet of Woody, Monakana, Santucci, Bravo-Harriott and Cunningham each buried treys to create a 20-point bulge after 30 minutes of competition.
UT was really not tested in the fourth quarter and did not let the margin slip below 21 points en route to securing the impressive 92-59 road triumph.
The Rockets will return to action on Thursday-Friday, Nov. 24-25 when they participate in the Cancun Challenge at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya Resort Convention Center. UT will face Atlantic 10 member Davidson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday and Pac-12 foe UCLA on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
