Rockets Visit Red-Hot Valparaiso Squad on Tuesday Evening

TOLEDO, OH – Toledo plays a rare mid-week match when it travels to Valparaiso, IN on Tuesday, Sept. 15 for an 8:00 p.m. matchup against Valparaiso (9-1).

Sophomore MB Rachel Vidourek is leading the Rockets with a .350 attack percentage to go along with 2.58 kps and 0.67 bps. Junior RSH Mary O'Connor is setting the pace with 2.76 kps, while sophomore OH Saige Thomas ranks third on the team with 2.33 kps.

Freshman OH/MB Haley Sendelbach possesses a team-high 0.86 bps and posted a team-best four blocks against Illinois State last Saturday.

Senior S Alex Hines paces the Rockets with 9.72 aps. She produced a strong all-around game against Youngstown State, tallying a double-double with 43 assists and 10 digs.

Freshman S/RSHÂ Carly Townsend earned all-tournament team honors for the Rockets after posting a .288 attack mark and 2.36 kills per set. Townsend also recorded a team-best .400 ATK% (9-1-20) in UT's match against IUPUI.

Valparaiso extended its best start in program history at its Popcorn Classic with three-set sweeps over Kennesaw State, Elon and Savannah State. The Crusaders were unable to claim the tourney title due to a loss to Loyola (IL) for its first setback of the season.

Junior OH/RSH Emily Campbell leads the Crusaders with an impressive 4.04 kps, while sophomore OH Allison Ketcham trails closely with 3.00 kps. Valparaiso has a .244 team attack percentage and is holding its opponents to a .168 hitting mark.
