Jarrett joins Rockets with two years of eligibility
TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo women's volleyball head coach Brian Wright announced the signing of UAB transfer Meg Jarrett on Wednesday. Jarrett is a defensive specialist/libero and will have two years of eligibility.
"Meg is a hard-working athlete and a great student that values competing at a high level, being a great teammate, and wanting to connect with the community and fan base," said Wright. "Her values align with our program, and she brings high level experience into our gym. We're super excited to welcome her to Toledo and get started this spring."
A Madison, Ala. native, Jarrett has seen action in 142 sets across 44 matches with the Blazers. She has tallied over 300 digs, while adding 32 assists and 20 service aces.
"I chose the University of Toledo because of the great coaching staff and culture of the team," said Jarrett. "I was drawn to the atmosphere that this coaching staff has built at Toledo. I also love the way they compete! I am so excited to play with this team."
At Bob Jones High School, Jarrett earned 2023 AVCA Second Team All-American and AVCA First Team All-Region (Region 3) honors during her senior season. She was also the No. 4 ranked senior in Alabama during 2023 by Al.com and brought home Al.com/Alabama Sports Writers Huntersville Region Player of the Year accolades in addition to AHSVCA First Team All-State honors. During her junior season, Jarrett was named to the Super All-State Team, AHSVCA First Team All-State and All-State Tournament teams.
