
Toledo Sits Tied for Ninth Place Following 36 Holes at Boilermaker Invitational

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN – Toledo sits tied for ninth place with a team score of nine-over par 585 (292-293) following the opening 36 holes at the Boilermaker Invitational on Saturday at the Kampen Course (Par-72, 7465 Yards).
Senior Chris Selfridge is leading the Rockets at one-under par 143 (71-72) and is tied for 16th place. The Castledawson, Northern Ireland native recorded four birdies in today's first two rounds and sits in a three-way deadlock for the 16th spot.
Junior Otto Black is two strokes behind Selfridge and tied for 21st place at one-over par 145 (73-72), while freshman Stephen Watts is three strokes back and tied for 28th place at two-over par 146 (72-74).
Rounding out the UT lineup is senior Patrick Cermak tied for 52nd place at seven-over par 151 (76-75) and freshman Colin Joseph tied for 76th place at 14-over par 158 (76-82).
No. 6 Illinois leads the 15-team field with an impressive 32-under par 544 (276-268) and holds an eye-popping 17-stroke advantage over second-place Louisville. The Fighting Illini have three individuals among the top five with Charlie Danielson in the overall lead at 12-under par 132 (67-65).
The two-day tourney will conclude with 18 holes on Sunday. Play will once again begin at 8:45 a.m. with a shotgun start. The Rockets will be paired with Wisconsin and Kent State for the final round.
