TOLEDO, OH – Toledo dropped an 83-57 decision against Atlantic-10 foe Dayton on Wednesday before a season-high 4,459 fans at Savage Arena.  With the loss, the Rockets fall to 0-6 on the year.
   UT was limited to 31.8 percent (21-of-66) from the field, including 27.3 percent (6-of-22) from three-point range, and 64.3 percent (9-of-14) from the charity stripe to suffer its fourth-straight loss in the intra-state series against the Flyers (6-1). At the other end of the floor, UD shot an impressive 51.6 (32-of-62) percent from the floor, including a scorching 60.0 percent (18-of-30) in the second half.
   Freshman
Halee Printz led the way for the Midnight Blue & Gold with a season-high 13 points off the bench, while senior
Brenae Harris followed closely behind with 10. Ten of Printz's 13 points came after the intermission. Junior
Janice Monakana added a team- and season- high seven baords. As a team, the Rockets outrebounded the Flyers, 41-34.
   Lauren Cannatelli paced UD with a game-high 15 points, knocking down five triples. Amber Deane had 13 points and five helpers, while Saicha Grant-Allen pulled down a game-high 10 caroms.
   Dayton started the contest with a 21-3 run that lasted the entire first quarter. The visitors outscored the Rockets 37-15 in the first half, while Toledo was held to 17.9 percent (5-of-28) shooting during the opening 20 minutes of play.
   UD also controlled the paint and outscored UT 34-12 in the lane.Â
   UT kept pace with Dayton throughout the rest of the non-conference contest, and was outscored by a 62-54 margin following the first quarter. After shooting less than 20 percent from the field in the first half, Toledo shot a respectable 42.1 percent (16-of-38) in the second half. The early deficit proved  too much to overcome, though, as Toledo is now 0-6 for the first time since 1978.
   The Rocket head back on the road to take part in the ASU Classic this weekend in Tempe, AZ. UT will face Ivy League foe Columbia (5-1) on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 4:30 p.m. (MT) at the Wells Fargo Arena.  Toledo will then face either the host Sun Devils or VCU on Sunday, Dec. 6 in the second round, depending on the outcome from the previous day.Â
