TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo men's tennis team will conclude its fall schedule this weekend when the Rockets travel to Niceville, FL to compete in the USTA Bluewater Bay Pro Circuit Championships beginning on Friday, Nov. 6.
"It's a unique privilege to have this tournament on a college program's schedule," said head coach Al Wermer. "A lot of people don't understand that this is a pro event. It's the minor leagues of the ATP World Tour.  It's a combination reward for our players; they get to play against difficult competition and it provides them with an exposure opportunity on The Circuit."
Three Rockets will make the trip to Niceville to compete in Friday's qualifying draw, led by junior Stjepan Sisko.
Last season, Sisko advanced to the main draw with four-consecutive wins in the qualifying draw without losing a set. Upon reaching the final 32 players in the tournament, Sisko fell in two sets to James Chaudry of Great Britain, 7-5, 6-2.
Freshmen Luka Vitosevic and Vince Anzalone will also compete in the tournament and have had an outstanding start to their collegiate careers this fall. The Rockets will fight to earn a place in the main draw that begins on Monday.
