
Rockets Return to Action with Talis Park Challenge in Naples, FL

TOLEDO, OH – Toledo plays its first stroke-play event of its spring season this weekend when it competes in the Talis Park Challenge on Sunday-Monday, March 16-17. The tournament is being hosted by Ball State University and will be held at Talis Park Golf Club in Naples, FL.
The Rockets will be competing alongside four Mid-American Conference schools - Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Miami and Northern Illinois – in the 14-team field. Also playing in the event is Austin Peay, Cincinnati, Florida Gulf Coast, Indiana, IUPUI, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, Wichita State and Xaiver.
Toledo has been idle from competitive golf since participating in the Mid-American Match Play event on Feb. 10-11 in Dade City, FL.
Junior Chris Selfridge is leading the Rockets with a 73.0 stroke average followed by sophomore Otto Black (74.3), junior Jamie Richardson (76.2) and junior Nate Gonring (76.6).
