Sophomore is two shots out of lead at one-over par
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Sophomore Bence Bertenyi is tied for eighth place with four holes remaining in Saturday's second round of the Hoosier Collegiate. Play was suspended due to darkness in the tournament that is being played at the par-71, 7,355-yard Pfau Course at Indiana University.
Bertenyi was tied for 26th place after Round One with a four-over par 75. He then registered four birdies and a bogey in his first six holes of Round Two. Bertenyi currently sits at one-over par and is two strokes out of the lead.
Kansas' Luke Honner, Illinois' Dane Huddleston, Purdue's Sam Easterbrook and Will Harvey were tied for first at one-under par when play was halted. The No. 39 Jayhawks and No. 41 Boilermakers are tied for first place at three-over par, five shots in front of No. 13 Illinois.
The second round will resume at 8:45 a.m. tomorrow with the third and final round being played immediately after the conclusion of Round Two.
