
Freshman Chris Selfridge Opens Seminole Intercollegiate with Two-Under 69

TALLAHASSEE, FL - Freshman Chris Selfridge fired a two-under par 69 on Friday and is tied for seventh place following the opening round at the Seminole Intercollegiate. Toledo is tied for 14th place as a team at 12-over par 296 but is just 10 strokes behind sixth-place North Carolina.
Selfridge nearly played a bogey-free round, finishing with three birdies and one bogey. Senior Dugan Murphy shot a three-over par 74 and is tied for 52nd. He was followed by senior Michael Cermak (T-72nd/76), freshman Patrick Cermak (T-82nd/77) and sophomore Oliver Holtsberry (T-86th/79).
No. 8 Georgia Tech and No. 28 Florida State are tied for first place at six-under par 278 played at the Seminoles' home course, Southwood Golf Course.
Kennesaw State's Jeff Karlsson carded a six-under 65 to sit atop the individual leaderboard after day one. He holds a two-shot lead over FSU's Chase Seiffert and USF's Trey Valentine.
Toledo will begin its second round at 8:24 a.m. tomorrow.
