Toledo Ranks 24th Nationally in Home Attendance

TOLEDO, OH - The NCAA released its first home attendance figures for the 2011-12 season today and Toledo sits 24th-best in the country, averaging 3,791 fans per contest. The Rockets have led the Mid-American Conference in attendance an unprecedented 21-consecutive seasons.

UT has a season high of 4,917 fans vs. Iona on Thursday, Dec. 1. Bowling Green (1,589) and Central Michigan (1,302) are the only other MAC schools topping the 1,000-mark.

Last season, UT ranked 37th nationally and averaged 3,078 fans per contest, the second-highest total in school history. Toledo posted a school-record and MAC-best 7,301 fans vs. USC in the WNIT Championship Game (April 2).

Toledo (13-7, 6-2 MAC) will look to hold onto a share of the best record in the MAC's West Division when it squares off against Akron (9-13, 3-5 MAC) on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at home. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Savage Arena and will be televised live on BCSN.
