Final Stats
Toledo, OH - The University of Toledo (6-23, 2-7 MAC) softball team lost their third match of the weekend, receiving a 7-0 loss from the Miami RedHawks (15-31-1, 5-6 MAC).
In the first inning, senior Stephanie Moore struck out the side for Toledo to keep the inning scoreless for both teams. After another scoreless inning, the RedHawks came into the third and scored two runs to take the lead.
The Rockets were held runless in the bottom of the third inning then allowed Miami to score two more to make their lead 4-0. Neither teams scored in the fifth and the sixth innings and then Miami score three runs in the top of the seventh to had Toledo their eighth shutout of the season.
The Rockets freshman led the team today with two hits. Both Kate Ricchio and Lacey LeVier hit singles for UT today. Moore had four strikeouts and Sierra Pereira had three.
The Midnight Blue and Gold will play Miami again tomorrow at 1 PM.
