BOWLING GREEN, OH - Toledo ended its 2007 season with a 37-10 loss to arch-rival Bowling Green at Bowling Green on Saturday, Nov. 23.
The Rockets, playing without starting quarterback Aaron Opelt, fell behind 9-0 in the first half but cut the lead to 9-3 with a 21-yard field goal by Alex Steigerwald midway through the second quarter. UT could not put together any more scoring drives in the half, however, and went into the locker room down 16-3.
JuniorQB Clint cochran, coming in for starter D.J. Lenehan, a true freshman, hit junior WR Nick Moore for a 37-yard TD strike early in the third quarter to pull the Rockets to within six, 16-10. But BGSU struck back less than a minutes later with a score and the Rockets never seriously threatened again.
Toledo was led by senior RB Jalen Parmele, who gained 82 yards on 19 carries, and Moore, who had 11 catches for 141 yards.
Toledo finished with a 5-7 record, 3-5 in the Mid-American Conference. BG ends the year 8-4, 6-2 in MAC play.
