Final Stats
Buffalo, NY - The Toledo softball team fell to Buffalo 7-4 in the final game of the series on Sunday at Nan Harvey Field. The Bulls scored four runs in the first inning and were able to hold the lead for the rest of the game. The Rockets fall to 8-20 overall, 1-2 in the Mid-American Conference.
Toledo fell behind 6-0 before staging a comeback attempt, scoring three runs in the fifth inning. After an insurance run by UB in the bottom of the sixth made the score 7-3, the Rockets could only manage one run in the top of the seventh, giving the Bulls their first MAC win.
Junior Erica Singer knocked in three of the Toledo runs and had two hits,including a homer. Sophomore Leslie Stong pounded out three hits for UT, while Gina Muratori, Denise Van Vossen and Danielle Schneider each had two hits for the Rockets. Junior Stephanie Moore fell to 4-11 with the loss on the mound for Toledo.
The Rockets return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Dayton for a doubleheader with the first game starting at 3 PM. Both games will be available on GameTracker at www.utrockets.com.
