MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) - Toledo's Astin Martin ran for 101 yards on 16 carries and scored three touchdowns as the Rockets beat Central Michigan 31-13 Saturday.

The Rockets (5-2, 3-0 Mid-American) rolled up 643 yards on Central (2-5, 0-4) to set a new Kelly-Shorts Stadium record. It was the second time this season the record has been broken. Toledo also ran 98 offensive plays, just one shy of the stadium record.

Toledo scored three times in the first quarter for a 21-0 lead as Martin ran for two touchdowns and Trinity Dawson added another on a 2-yard run.

Central made it on the board with 12:17 left in the second quarter when Terrence Jackson ran in from 1 yard out.

But the Rockets returned to score the next 10 points and put the game away. Martin ran in from 1 yard out with 2:48 left in the second quarter as Toledo took a 28-7 lead into halftime.

CMU struggled with its passing offense as starter Derrick Vickers was 2-of-13 for 75 yards. He gave way to Grant Arnoldink in the second half who completed a 9-yard TD pass to Damien Linson with 3:19 left in the game.

The Rockets ran for 422 yards and passed for 221 more. Dawson ran for 165 yards on 26 carries with one touchdown. Lance Moore had 105 yards receiving on 13 catches to lead the Toledo passing attack.
