Recap| Box Score| Notes

Head Coach Stan Joplin:

"I thought we played terrible in terms of turnovers, decision-making and getting loose balls. It was kind of tough with the officials calling a lot of fouls. I don't think there was a real good flow to the game, but players have to make adjustments to what the officials are calling."

"I thought in the first half we looked like we were in quicksand. It was very disturbing to me."

"We were trying to make touchdown plays instead of making the next safest pass."

"We thought we were right there at the end but you can't just turn the ball over without getting a good look at the basket. Momentum was starting to go our way if we would have scored a basket instead of turning the ball over."

On Matt McCollom scoring career-high 29 points:

"I don't if it was him playing well or us playing bad defensively. I think it was a combination of both. We have to be a much better defensive team than that."

Senior guard Nick Moore:

"I credit myself for the loss. We were down 72-70 with less than a minute left and I threw that dumb pass and I just can't do that. It wasn't intended to be a lob to Sammy but it just went a little higher than I thought it was going to go. It was a bonehead pass and I just messed up."

"It feels awful because we were in a position to win the game and we didn't win down the stretch and it hurts. I'm not saying we played well enough in the whole game to deserve the win but we were in a position to win it at the end."

"We have to start playing some defense. We're giving up too many points and today we turned the ball over too much. We really aren't defending like the Toledo teams in the past and that's killing us."

On Matt McCollom scoring career-high 29 points:

"For some reason we keep giving guys their career highs. I don't know why. We always let one guy get off and tonight it just happened to be him. I think we gave him too many easy baskets and he knocked them down."
