Softball Falls In Series Finale Vs. Northern Illinois

DeKalb, IL - Toledo (5-13, 0-3 MAC) suffered a 12-0 setback today at Northern Illinois (9-12, 3-0 MAC) in the finale of a three-game series between the two schools.
The Huskies plated three runs in the first inning and nine in the second frame.
Freshman P Kim Pettitt (3-5) started for the Rockets and took the loss. She was relieved by sophomore P Cortney Winslow with one out in the second inning and the Rockets trailing 6-0.
Six different UT players registered a hit in the contest.
The Rockets are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, March 26 in Dayton, OH with a doubleheader at Wright State. UT will then travel to Oxford, OH to take on Miami on Wednesday, March 27 before hosting Western Michigan in a three-game series on Friday and Saturday, March 29-30.
