Toledo to return to action next weekend with three-game set at Western Michigan
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo softball team suffered an 11-0 setback to Miami at Scott Park on Sunday afternoon in the series finale of their Mid-American Conference series.
Junior Eliza Maloney led the Rockets offensively with a double and a walk.
Junior Mady Yackee (3-7) started in the circle for Toledo and held Miami (30-12, 12-6 MAC) scoreless in the second, third and fourth innings.
Toledo (12-28, 8-10 MAC) will return to action next weekend when it travels to Kalamazoo, Mich. for a three-game series vs. Western Michigan (21-19, 10-8 MAC). The Rockets currently trail the Broncos by two games for the final spot in this year's MAC Tournament. The series opener against the Broncos will be on Friday, April 17 with a doubleheader set for Saturday, April 18.
