Taylor Alt is Toledo's Female Athlete of the Week after being named to the all-tournament team at South Dakota State's Jackrabbit Invitational.
Alt tallied a team-high 47 kills in the tournament, including 21 terminations in a five-set marathon match against SDSU on Friday when the Rockets rallied back to force a fifth set after being down 0-2. The fifth year senior added in 18 digs against the Jackrabbits as well as 16 kills and 11 digs against Idaho State on Saturday to tally two consecutive double-doubles. The Ottawa, Ohio native also added nine blocks throughout the weekend, including two solo blocks against Belmont.
Toledo returns to action this weekend when it opens Mid-American Conference play with two home matches vs. Northern Illinois. Friday's match will begin at 6:00 p.m., while Saturday's contests starts at 4:00 p.m.
