Junior Izzy Granger is Toledo's Female Athlete of the Week following last weekend's performance that saw her be named the Rocket Invite MVP after totaling 41 kills and 35 digs.
Granger tallied five service aces, three of which came in the third set against Marshall to help secure the sweep. The Findlay, Ohio native recorded two consecutive double-doubles, totaling 13 kills and 12 digs against Northern Kentucky (Sept. 13) and 14 kills and 14 digs against Marshall (Sept. 14). Against Marshall, Granger set a career-high with a hitting percentage of .542. Granger had a final hitting percentage of .267 on the weekend, tallying only 14 errors through three matches.
The Rockets close out non-conference play at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Sioux Falls, S.D. on Sept. 19-21. Toledo will open the tournament against Belmont on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 5:00 p.m.
