Kelly Maxwell enters her second season as an assistant coach for the University of Toledo volleyball program.
In her first year on the Rocket bench, Maxwell helped UT advance to the second round of the 2017 Mid-American Conference Tournament.
Prior to joining the Rockets, Maxwell served as a volunteer assistant coach at Central Michigan for one season. She also spent six months as an assistant coach and setter coach for the Legacy Volleyball Club National Teams and U-17 team before working with the Chippewas.
Maxwell was a three-year starter and two-year captain during her time as a Chippewa (2010-13). She completed the 2011 and 2012 seasons ranked in the top 15 in assists in the country, and finished third in school history with 3,512 career assists.
A two-time Academic All-MAC honoree, Maxwell was named to the 2011 MAC All-Tournament Team and helped the Chippewas advance to the NCAA Championships by winning the MAC Tournament.
An Okemos, Mich. native, Maxwell graduated from CMU in 2015 with a degree in elementary education.
