Toledo has earned five all-region selections since 2021
TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo right-handed pitcher Nathan Leininger and infielder Troy Sudbrook were selected as ABCA/Rawlings Division I East All-Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association on Tuesday.

Both players received First Team All-Region honors after being selected by members of the ABCA. The selections today mark five all-region honors under Rob Reinstetle, with former Rockets Chris Meyers (2021), Jeron Williams (2023) and Garret Pike (2024) each claiming an honor.

In his senior season, Leininger built up a 9-1 record in 15 starts, with a 2.81 ERA, a .211 opponent average, 96.0 innings pitched and 90 strikeouts to 37 walks. He led the MAC in ERA, opponent average and innings pitched, tied for first in wins and was second in strikeouts. He also ranks tied for 24nd nationally in victories and 36th in ERA. Leininger was named the MAC Pitcher of the Week after a victory over Central Michigan where he pitched 8.0 innings without an earned run and struck out 10 to no walks. He also pitched Toledo's first nine-inning complete game since 2018 in the MAC Tournament against Ball State in an 8-2 win.

Sudbrook is coming off a career season with a slash line of .373/.467/.665, 88 hits, 71 RBIs, 65 runs, 32 doubles, 30 walks and 13 stolen bases. The 32 doubles leads NCAA Division I after Super Regional weekend. Sudbrook was top-three in the MAC in several categories, ranking first in doubles (32) and hits (88), second in RBIs (72) and OPS (1.132), and third in slugging percentage (.672). Sudbrook led Toledo with 30 multi-hit games and 20 multi-RBI games and finished the season with a 30-game on-base streak.

The All-Region selections added to several conference awards in 2026. Leininger was the MAC Pitcher of the Year and both players were First Team All-MAC picks. Sudbrook added an All-Defensive Team nod. After Toledo reached the MAC Tournament Championship Game for the second-straight season, Leininger and Sudbrook were each selected to the MAC All-Tournament Team.
