Two Rockets Selected to Academic All-MAC Team

TOLEDO, Ohio – Two student-athletes from the Toledo rowing team were named to the Academic All-MAC Team, the Mid-American Conference announced on Tuesday.

Senior Shelby Roe and sophomore Azin Ghanadan earned the program's first Academic All-MAC honors. They join sophomores Maggie Merriman and Kamryn Stripp as Toledo rowers recognized for their academic achievements this season. Merriman and Stripp were named to the CSC Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team.

The Academic All-MAC Team recognizes student-athletes who have excelled both academically and athletically. To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 and participate in at least 50 percent of their team's contests. First-year students and transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.

Toledo student-athletes earned a school-record 3.529 grade-point average during the 2026 spring semester. The rowing team also posted a program-record 3.371 GPA.
