Toledo to play final round of tournament tomorrow
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sophomore Valeria Lizcano led the Toledo women's golf team in Friday's first two rounds of the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 6,319-yard Scarlet Course at the Ohio State University Golf Course.
Lizcano is at 14-over par through 36 holes, one and two shots in front of junior Áine Martin and freshman Alice Tonts, respectively.
Sophomore Brooklyn Millard was forced to withdraw from today's play due to injury.
No. 36 Ohio State is leading the 14-team field at 13-over par, three strokes ahead of No. 30 Kent State. The Buckeyes' Nellie Ong is in first place at five-under par. She was the only individual to shoot in the red.
The Rockets will play the third and final round of the tournament tomorrow.
