Laura Acuña moves into fifth all-time in the 800m
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Three Rockets moved into the program top-10 overall records on the first day of the Wake Forest Invitational on Thursday in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Laura Acuña moved into fifth all-time in program history in the 800m with a final time of 2:08.98 and placed third overall in the event. Cadence Christie took second in the 800m and moved into ninth in program history with a time of 2:10.21. Harper Brighty also competed in the 800m, placing eighth in her section with a time of 2:18.21.
Hannah Ielfield and Gabby Phelan saw action in the 3000m steeplechase. Ielfield took eighth overall in the invitational, moving into sixth overall in program history with a time of 10:11.31. Phelan took 10th overall in the section two results with a time of 10:43.97.

Toledo will continue action at the Wake Forest Invitational on Friday, April 17. The Rockets will also run at the Hillsdale GINA Relays on Friday.
