Five Rockets earn top-10 program marks on Friday
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. / ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Toledo women's track & field saw five student-athletes earn top-10 program marks at two meets on Friday.
At the Wake Forest Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C., Dorcas Kiptantui tallied the fourth-fastest 1500m time in program history with a mark of 4:15.74 while finishing second overall in the 1500m Invite 4. Laura Acuña recorded a final time of 4:22.22 in the 1500m, marking the ninth-best time in program history. Melody Jebiwot took 10th overall in the 5000m Invite 3, recording a time of 16:04.38 to move into fifth all-time in program history.
Lauren Zanotelli won the 1500m Open 3 section with a time of 4:30.64 while Alex Bauer took fifth in the 1500m Invite 2, crossing the finish line at 4:24.20. In the 1500m Invite 1, Olivia Gang earned fifth-place overall with a 16:40.36.
At the 56th Annual GINA Relays in Allendale, Mich., Bralynne Dunn moved into second all-time in program history with a time of 11.66 in the 100m Open Finals and taking second overall in the event. Teammate Sydney Stepanovich followed closely behind, recording a time of 11.82 to move into sixth in program history and take sixth place.
