Rockets Improve Score by 19 Strokes in Round Two of Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

Sophomore Rachel Macklinay tops Toledo in today's action
ATHENS, Ga. – Sophomore Rachel Mackinlay led the Toledo women's golf team with a five-over par 77 in Sunday's second round of Georgia's Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. The Rockets improved their team score from yesterday's total by 19 strokes and are in 15th place in the tournament being played at the par-72, 6,217-yard University of Georgia Golf Course.
Mackinlay concluded her round by notching pars on six of her last seven holes and improved her score from Round One by nine strokes. Sophomore Valeria Lizcano registered an 11-shot improvement for the best difference from Saturday's play.
Georgia is leading the 16-team field at one-over par, 12 strokes in front of Rutgers. The Bulldogs' Trinity Beth shot a three-under par 69 today and leads all individuals at nine-under par.
The Rockets will begin play in tomorrow's final round with a 10:02 a.m. tee time.
