Toledo Prepares for MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships

Rockets kick off the indoor championship season at 1:00 p.m. on Friday
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's track & field team will travel to Mt. Pleasant, Mich. to compete in the 2026 Mid-American Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday-Saturday, Feb. 27-28. Action will begin for the Rockets at 1:00 p.m. on Friday and 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
UT will have 18 student-athletes competing in eight events including the DMR and 4x400 relays.
Melody Jebiwot enters the event with the best 3000m time in the conference, clocking a time of 9:14.76 at the Meyo Invitational on Jan. 30, 2026. She also owns the third-best 5000m time after tallying a 16:17.95 mark at the Heartland Invitational on Feb. 13, 2026.
Dorcas Jeptoo Kiptanui is second in the MAC in the mile, tallying a final time of 4:41.50 at the Heartland Invitational on Feb. 13, 2026. She also ranks fourth overall in the 3000m with a mark of 9:20.36.
Junior Lianna Surtz is fifth in the league in the 3000m event, recording a time of 9:22.58. Freshman Eva Moran will also represent the Rockets in the field events as she competes in the pole vault.
