Sophomore Brooklyn Millard ties for 11th place to lead Rockets
LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – Sophomore Brooklyn Millard tied for 11th place on Wednesday to lead the Toledo women's golf team to an 11th-place showing at the BGSU Women's Intercollegiate. Millard finished with a five-over par 218 after carding a six-over par 78 in the final round at the par-71, 6,000-yard Wigwam Resort course. Millard led the 84-player field with 14 birdies.
Sophomore Rachel Macklinlay tied for 32nd place at 13-over par 156 (72-75-79), while freshman Alice Tonts tied for 43rd place at 16-over par 159 (77-75-79).
Sophomore Emily Young registered the Rockets' best round today with a five-over par 76 competing as an individual.
UTEP won the tournament with an 11-over par 863, with the Miners' Amelia Fridlund capturing medalist honors at three-under par.
Toledo will return to action on Monday-Tuesday, March 2-3 with a trip to Abilene, Texas for the West Texas Classic.
