Sophomore shoots one-over par 71 in second round
ABILENE, Texas – Sophomore Brooklyn Millard shot five-over par and is leading the Toledo women's golf team following Monday's first two rounds of Abilene Christian's West Texas Classic. The Rockets are sitting in 10th place and just four strokes out of seventh place in the tournament at the par-70, 6,217-yard Abilene Country Club.
Millard registered Toledo's best round of the day with a one-over par 71 this afternoon. She almost completed her round in the red but double-bogeyed the par-three, 195-yard 17th hole.
Sophomore Valeria Lizcano is four strokes behind Millard and tied for 36th place at nine-over par. Lizcano topped the Rockets with six birdies, with Millard collecting five. Freshman Alice Tonts is tied for 52nd place at 13-over par.
Bowling Green leads the 16-team field at seven-over par.
The third and final round of the tournament will be held tomorrow morning.
