Brady Sasse Named Among D1Baseball’s Top 200 Starting Pitchers

TOLEDO, Ohio – Sophomore pitcher Brady Sasse was ranked No. 130 by D1Baseball in the outlet's preseason Top 200 starting pitchers announced recently.

Sasse enters his sophomore season coming off a 2025 freshman campaign where he worked his way into the rotation, making 14 appearances and 11 starts. Sasse was 4-3 with a 3.51 earned run average, pitched 56.1 innings, struck out 43 batters with just 15 walks and had a .237 opponent batting average. This included a series-clinching victory against Bowling Green, where he allowed just one run on two hits in 6.0 innings, with six strikeouts to one walk.

The North Royalton, Ohio native was named the Mid-American Conference's Freshman Pitcher of the Year and a Second-Team All-MAC Selection. He was just the second player in Toledo history to earn a major conference pitching award.

Sasse becomes the second Rocket to be recognized by the outlet in its preseason list. Junior infielder Charlie Scholvin was ranked No. 41 among the preseason top 50 shortstops.

The Rockets will begin their season on Friday, Feb. 13, taking on Memphis at 5:00 p.m. ET.
