CLEVELAND, Ohio – Toledo infielder
Troy Sudbrook has taken the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, after closing the regular season with a monster weekend at the plate, the league office announced Monday.

Sudbrook finished the week with a .667 average and a 2.066 OPS. He was 8-for-12 with two home runs, 10 RBIs, eight runs scored and two doubles. He had multi-hit, multi-run and multi-RBI efforts in Toledo's weekend sweep over Central Michigan.

Sudbrook started off the weekend with a 3-for-4 day with two home runs, five RBIs and four runs scored in Thursday's 21-3 rout, the first multi-home run game of his career. He followed that up with another 3-for-4 day with three RBIs and two runs on Friday and two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored on Saturday.

Toledo totaled 48 runs and 54 hits on the weekend, reaching season highs in runs (21) on Thursday and hits (22) on Friday.

For the season, Sudbrook is batting .280 with 61 hits, seven home runs, 44 RBIs, 14 doubles and 20 walks. He played all 55 games at third base during the regular season.

The Avon, Ohio native became Toledo's third player to win a MAC weekly honor this season. Pitchers
RJ Shunck and
Logan Jones each earned the league's Pitcher of the Week honor back in February.

The Rockets (28-27, 17-13 MAC) will head to Crushers Stadium for the MAC Tournament for the second-straight season. No. 5 seed Toledo will open tournament play on Wednesday, May 21 against No. 4 seed Bowling Green.
