Rockets have won four straight and are one game out of a MAC Tournament position

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo softball team will wrap up its regular season by playing five Mid-American Conference games this week. Action begins with a doubleheader at Kent State on Wednesday, April 30 and concludes with a three-game series against Northern Illinois on Saturday-Sunday, May 3-4.

The Rockets enter the week after winning their last four games and sweeping the Battle of I-75 to climb within one game behind sixth-place Northern Illinois (18-26, 12-11 MAC) for the final spot in the MAC Tournament.

Toledo owns a 10-12 MAC record and is just one game in the loss column behind NIU for the sixth and final spot in next week's MAC Tournament. The Rockets and Huskies meet in the final series of the regular season.
The Rockets have won their last four games, including sweeping Bowling Green and picking up a 3-1 win over Buffalo on Sunday, April 20. Samantha Bolding had a career weekend against Bowling Green, hitting .778 and blasting four home runs. Bolding tallied a 2.222 slugging percentage and a .846 on-base percentage.
Toledo ranks second in the MAC in batting average (0.302), double plays (17) double plays per game (0.40), stolen bases per game (1.28) and sacrifice bunts (33).
Sidney Griffith ranks second in toughest to strikeout, striking out only six times in 144 at-bats. Griffith is third in the league in sacrifice bunts per game (0.19).
Eli Enriquez sits third in the league in stolen bases (18) while Kendra VanderLugt is third in doubles (12) and doubles per game (0.28).
