Rockets plate 14 runs in game one behind five home runs
In game one, Toledo (13-26, 6-12 MAC) recorded five home runs, the ninth game this season with multiple homers. Senior outfielder Kendra VanderLugt hit a pair of homers and junior shortstop Grace O'Malley blasted her first career long ball. The Rockets also tallied 12 hits, the 15th game this season they have had double-figure hits and their fifth game with 10-plus runs.
Maris Barbato and Sidney Griffith added RBIs in game two. Sophomore left-handed pitcher Mady Yackee threw three scoreless frames to go along with four strikeouts, tying her season best mark for punchouts.

Game 1
- Kendra VanderLugt blasted a solo homer to put Toledo ahead early, 1-0.
- Buffalo responded by scoring 11 runs in the bottom of the first.
- The Rockets plated seven runs in the third inning thanks to homers from VanderLugt and Jenna Bloomfield. Maris Barbato and Madison McKay added RBIs to get Toledo within five, 13-8.
- The Bulls extended their lead with three runs in the bottom of the frame, 16-8.
- RBIs from Eli Enriquez and Audrey Miller got the Rockets within four during the fifth inning, 16-11.
- McKay and Grace O'Malley knocked home runs to left in the top of the sixth to keep Toledo within three, 17-14.
- Buffalo scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to extend their lead, 21-14. The Rockets were unable to send anyone home in the seventh.
- Buffalo scored four runs in the first to take an early lead, 4-0.
- An RBI double from Sidney Griffith put Toledo on the board, 4-1.
- The Bulls plated three runs in the fourth to extend the advantage, 8-1.
- Barbato knocked an RBI single up the middle in the sixth, 8-2. The Rockets were unable to plate any more runs.
