Rockets Set to Take on USF and Hillsborough in Florida

Toledo spring break trip features two matches in south Florida
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team is rounding out its month-long road trip with a pair of matches in Tampa, Fla. The Rockets will take on USF on Friday, March 7 at 12:00 p.m. and will wrap up the trip against Hillsborough Community College on Saturday, March 8 at 10:00 a.m.
ABOUT THE ROCKETS
Toledo owns an overall record of 6-2 after earning a 5-2 victory over 2024 Division III National Champions UChicago on Feb. 22. The freshman doubles tandem Neha Guru and Jacklynka Scholten were named the Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week on Feb. 24 after winning matches on the No. 1 court against UIC and UChicago.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
USF enters the match with a 2-9 record and grabbed a 4-0 win over Tulane on Feb. 23. The Rockets and the Bulls last met on March 5, 2023 when USF won, 5-2.
Hillsborough is 4-0 on the season and most recently recorded a 5-2 win at Southeastern University. The Hawks were the 2024 NJCAA national runner-up. This will be the second meeting between Toledo and Hillsborough, with the Rockets winning the first match, 8-1, on March 8, 2008.
