Lizcano tied for second in field with eight birdies
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Senior Yedam Lee and redshirt freshman Valeria Lizcano are separated by just one stroke and leading the Toledo women's golf team following Monday's first two rounds of Furman's Coach Mo Classic. The tournament is being played at the Saint Johns Golf and Country Club.
Lee registered the Rockets' best round of the day with a three-over par 75 in the opening round. She is tied for 37th place at nine-over par 153.
Lizcano is tied for 40th place at 10-over par 154 after carding back-to-back 77s. She was tied for second in the field with a team-high eight birdies.
No. 39 Purdue leads the 16-team field at one-over par, eight shots in front of No. 44 College of Charleston. The Boilermakers' Natasha Kiel leads all individuals with a five-under par 139.
The third and final round of the tournament will be held tomorrow beginning with an 8:30 am shotgun start.
