Rockets to play Oakland; Host meet and greet after match
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's volleyball team will host a spring match and post-game Volleyball 101 event in Savage Arena on Saturday, April 19 at 1:00 p.m. Admission for all fans is free. Donations of dry goods or snack bags for families at local hospitals will be accepted through the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio. Food items needed include individual bags of cookies, crackers and chips, mac and cheese cups, pudding cups and ramen noodles.
The Rockets will take on the Oakland Grizzlies in their lone spring action at home. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m. Following the conclusion of the match, fans can attend the Volleyball 101 event where they will have the opportunity to meet student-athletes and coaches. Additionally, fans will be able to learn about rules and strategy within the game of volleyball. Regardless of volleyball knowledge, fans will learn the basics of the game and can get in-depth analysis from coaches and student-athletes.
