Toledo Set to Compete at Michigan Invitational

15 Rockets will run in Ann Arbor, Mich.
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's track and field team hits the road for the Michigan Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 8 in Ann Arbor, Mich. The meet will kick off with field events at 10:00 a.m. and running events beginning at 11:30 a.m. 15 runners will compete at the UM Indoor Track Building.

Mercy Kinyanjui broke the school record in the 3000m with a time of 9:07.85 at the Penn State National Open on Feb. 1. Senior Alex Bauer tallied a final mark of 9:23.57 in the same event, recording the fifth-fastest time in program history.
Senior Sydney Caddell won the long jump at the Akron Invitational with a mark of 5.59m while senior Samantha Thomas took first in the 200m with a time of 24.56. Freshman Addison Lee placed third in the long jump (5.37m) while Chloe Pyles took home fourth in the triple jump (10.75m).
Two members of the men's squad competed at the Penn State National Open. Joad Martinho took fifth in the 3000m invitational with a time of 8:08.37, setting a program best in the event. Joshuah Taylor placed fifth in the open 3000m with a time of 8:23.26.
