Toledo Travels to Indiana for Non-Conference Match

Rockets and Hoosiers compete at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday in Bloomington, Ind.
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo men's tennis team continues its slate of non-conference opponents with a road trip to Bloomington, Ind. to take on Indiana on Sunday. First serve is set for 4:00 p.m. from the IU Tennis Center. Live Stats and video will be available.
ABOUT THE ROCKETS
Toledo (2-1) grabbed two consecutive come-from-behind wins last weekend as the Rockets defeated IU Indy, 5-2, and Butler, 4-3. Junior Matias Olivero clinched the win over Butler with a straight-set singles win on the No. 5 court.
Sophomore Poonthong Komolpisut went undefeated in singles play last weekend, besting IU Indy's Viste 6-3, 7-5 (7-6) on the No. 2 court on Saturday and recording a 6-2, 6-3 straight set win over Butler's Joss on the No. 1 court on Saturday. Komolpisut was named Mid-American Conference Singles Player of the Week for his efforts.
ABOUT INDIANA
Indiana enters match with a 2-0 recording, earning wins over Cleveland State and Ball State on Jan. 18. The Hoosiers are also set to compete against Dartmouth and Brown this weekend. Freshman Braeden Gelletich clinched the win over Ball State on the No. 4 singles court.
Toledo and Indiana met last season on Jan. 13, 2024 with the Hoosiers taking the 5-2 win.
UP NEXT
Toledo continues its non-conference road swing next week, visiting Youngstown State on Saturday, Feb. 8 and Penn State on Sunday, Feb. 9. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
