Toledo Falls to Miami in Conference Dual Meet

Freshman Rosie Richards grabs individual titles in the 200 and 500 freestyles
TOLEDO, Ohio – Freshman Rosie Richards grabbed two first-place finishes on Saturday as the Toledo women's swimming and diving team wrapped up its weekend of home meets, falling to Miami 188-107.
Richards took first in the 200 freestyle (1:54.48) and the 500 freestyle (5:11.19). Sophomore Leah Evans tallied a first-place finish in the 100 butterfly (57.05), grabbed runner-up in the 100 backstroke (56.76) and took third in the 200 IM (2:18.24).
Junior Paula Pavillard-Salvador took first in the 200 IM (2:13.35). Freshman Mackenzie Bushey followed behind in second (2:14.99) while also taking third in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.79). Freshman Audrey Zimmerman placed third in the 50 freestyle (24.44) while junior Janne Slegers recorded a third-place finish in the 100 freestyle (52.49).
Three Rocket relay teams grabbed the top-three spots in the 400 freestyle relay, with the team consisting of Richards, Nejla Karic, Kenzie Myco and Slegers leading the way and taking first (3:30.95).
On the diving boards, junior Amanda Dosey took second place in the 3M event (262.58).
UP NEXT
Toledo hits the road to take on Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti, Mich. on Friday, Jan. 17. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.
