Toledo Falls to Eastern Michigan in Dual Meet

Leah Evans records individual wins in 100 and 200 butterfly on Friday
YPSILANTI, Mich. – Sophomore Leah Evans tallied individual titles in the 100 butterfly and 200 butterfly on Friday as Toledo dropped its dual meet at Eastern Michigan, 175-117.
Evans took first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.63 and won the 200 butterfly with a mark of 2:08.45. The sophomore also placed third in the 200 IM with a time of 2:16.57. Freshman Mackenzie Bushey grabbed a first-place finish in the 200 breaststroke with a final time of 2:29.84.
Freshman Rosie Richards tallied a second-place finish in both the 200 freestyle (1:54.83) and the 500 freestyle (5:09.81). Junior Janne Slegers took second in the 50 freestyle (24.18) and the 100 freestyle (52.62).
Junior Paula Pavillard-Salvador registered a pair of podium finishes, earning second in the 200 IM (2:15.20) and third in the 200 backstroke (2:11.82).
On the diving boards, Amanda Dosey placed third in the 1M event. The junior recorded a final score of 226.50.
The Rockets' relay squads earned a handful of top-three finishes. The 400 medley relay group of Gracie Pardue, Mackenzie Bushey, Leah Evans and Janne Slegers took second with a time of 3:56.15. In the 200 freestyle relay, Rosie Richards, Audrey Zimmerman, Kenzie Myco and Janne Slegers combined to take first with a mark of 1:37.52.

Toledo will wrap up regular season competition against Bowling Green and Buffalo on Friday, Jan. 31 in Bowling Green, Ohio and on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Student Recreation Center.
