Rockets Earn ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

The Toledo baseball program's 3.389 team GPA earned the program the 2023-24 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award.

Toledo receives academic honor for third-straight year

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team was honored with the 2023-24 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, the American Baseball Coaches Association announced on Wednesday.

UT earned the award for the third consecutive season. The award honors college and high school baseball programs at all levels which posted GPAs of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for the 2023-24 academic year. Head coaches must also be ABCA members for their teams to be honored.

Toledo posted a 3.389 GPA for the entire academic year and eclipsed 3.2 team semester GPAs for the 9^th and 10^th-consecutive terms under Head Coach Rob Reinstetle. Additionally, four student-athletes were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District and 12 were named Academic All-MAC.

During this spring semester, 18 Rockets earned their names on the Dean's and President's lists, including eight earning President's List honors with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
