Junior center fielder had three multi-hit games in tournament
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Toledo junior Garret Pike was named to the Mid-American Conference All-Tournament Team following the conclusion of the MAC Baseball Championship on Saturday.

Pike went 6-for-17 (.353) for the tournament with five runs scored, two RBIs, two walks and a home run. He delivered multi-hit games in Toledo's final three games of the tournament and scored two runs in two separate games. Defensively, Pike made 12 putouts in center field without an error for the tournament.

The Waterville, Ohio native helped Toledo to a 2-2 record in the MAC Tournament, marking the first time UT won multiple games in the tournament since 2013. As the No. 6 seed, the Rockets eliminated No. 5 seed Kent State on Thursday and No. 4 seed Miami on Friday before falling to eventual runner-up Ball State to conclude its tournament.

For the season, Pike started all 59 of Toledo's games, batting .360 with 21 home runs and 55 RBIs. He finished the week tied for first in the league in home runs and leading the league in hits (86). He was selected as First Team All-MAC and MAC All-Defensive Team in the league's postseason awards announced on Tuesday.
