TOLEDO, Ohio – University of Toledo student-athletes earned a record grade-point average of 3.388 in the 2024 spring semester, Vice President and Director of Athletics Bryan B. Blair announced today.
 
It is the second-highest GPA for a spring semester using a normal grading scale following the 3.423 GPA last semester that set the record for a fall term. Rocket student-athletes have now recorded a GPA of 3.3 or higher in each of the past 10 semesters.
 
Women's Tennis (3.827 GPA), Women's Golf (3.740), Women's Swimming & Diving (3.720), Men's Golf (3.715) and Softball (3.702) all achieved GPAs above a 3.7. All teams achieved a 3.0 GPA of higher for the third consecutive semester and just the fifth time ever using a normal grading scale.

"Our student-athletes never cease to amaze me," said Blair. "We once again had all 16 of our teams finish with a 3.0 or higher, with over half of our student-athletes making the Dean's List. "Our goal is for our student-athletes to have a meaningful degree in hand at graduation along with a championship ring as they sprint across the stage with excitement for what's next. These young people are certainly on that trajectory, and I'm incredibly appreciative of the faculty, staff, coaches, supporters, and community members who help make that dream a reality!"

Other highlights from this past semester include:

• 72 student-athletes (19%) earned President's List honors with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
• 203 student-athletes (53%) earned a spot on the Dean's List by garnering at least a 3.50 GPA.
• 290 out of 393 (76%) total student-athletes made the Honor Roll by securing a 3.00 GPA or higher.
• Women's Track & Field set its program record with a 3.575 GPA.
