Rockets put 15-match MAC winning streak on the line this weekend
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team takes its 15-match Mid-American Conference winning streak on the road at Miami and Bowling Green this weekend. The Rockets will meet the RedHawks at the Miami Tennis Courts on Friday, April 5, and the Falcons at the Perrysburg Tennis Center on Sunday, April 7.
Toledo (11-4, 4-0 MAC) has played both Miami and Bowling Green at home this year, defeating the RedHawks 5-2 on March 29 and the Falcons 6-1 on March 24.
Last Time on the Court
Toledo won its fifth consecutive meeting vs. Miami and its 13th straight home match last Friday. Senior Sloane Teske clinched match point for the Rockets and extended her winning streak to four matches. Senior Cassie Alcala, senior Julia Kuszynski, and sophomore Audrey Moutama have won their last five matches, and are undefeated in league play along with Teske.
Rockets' Victory Milestones
Miami (9-8, 3-1 MAC) lost its first conference match of the year to Toledo last week and sits behind UT in the MAC East Division standings. The RedHawks are 5-0 at home this year.
About Bowling Green
Bowling Green (7-9, 0-4 MAC) is on a three-match skid and has yet to win a league match this year. The Falcons will host Ball State on Friday before the second installment of the Battle of I-75 with Toledo for a Sunday matinee.
