Rockets Prepare for Three Mid-Week Games

Toledo hosts a doubleheader with Ohio on Tuesday morning before heading to Detroit Mercy on Thursday afternoon
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo softball team has a short turnaround before it is back on the field this Tuesday, April 16 for a doubleheader with Ohio at Scott Park. Toledo (19-16, 10-5 MAC) will then play its final non-conference game at Detroit Mercy for a single game at 3:00 p.m.

Toledo took one of three games at Northern Illinois over the weekend, falling 8-3 on Friday and 2-1 (8 inn.) on Saturday afternoon, before picking up the 6-5 nightcap victory to avoid the series sweep. Freshman Mady Yackee earned her first collegiate victory on Saturday afternoon, pitching a season-high 6.2 innings and striking out seven batters. The Huskies are the first to win a series against the Rockets since Akron on March 15-16.

- Senior Yasmine Logan leads the Bobcats with a .564 slugging percentage, 21 runs scored, 27 RBIs, and seven homers this year. Reigning MAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year, Skipp Miller has a 2.63 ERA in 133.0 innings of work, with 74 strikeouts, and three shutouts on the year.
