Toledo hosts a doubleheader with Ohio on Tuesday morning before heading to Detroit Mercy on Thursday afternoon

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo softball team has a short turnaround before it is back on the field this Tuesday, April 16 for a doubleheader with Ohio at Scott Park. Toledo (19-16, 10-5 MAC) will then play its final non-conference game at Detroit Mercy for a single game at 3:00 p.m.

Last Time on the Field
Toledo took one of three games at Northern Illinois over the weekend, falling 8-3 on Friday and 2-1 (8 inn.) on Saturday afternoon, before picking up the 6-5 nightcap victory to avoid the series sweep. Freshman Mady Yackee earned her first collegiate victory on Saturday afternoon, pitching a season-high 6.2 innings and striking out seven batters. The Huskies are the first to win a series against the Rockets since Akron on March 15-16.

The Rockets are hitting a program-best .311 at the plate and have a .433 slugging percentage this year.
Senior Lauren Erickson crushed two home runs at Northern Illinois, to bring her career total to 14. She is one away from tying No.10 Aubrey Reed (2019-23) with 15 in her career on Toledo's top 10 list.
Junior Sidney Griffith leads the Rockets with a .400 batting average (#5/ MAC), while junior Eli Enriquez leads the MAC with five triples and is second in the league with 22 stolen bases.
In the circle, junior Sophia Knight is seventh in the league with a 2.72 ERA, and tied for fifth with 82 strikeouts (23 looking) on the year.

Ohio's seven-game winning streak was broken by an 8-0 (5 inn.) shutout at Ohio State on Wednesday afternoon.
Ohio has won its last three MAC series since March 29, including Central Michigan (March 29-30), Kent State (April 2), and Northern Illinois (April 6-7).
Ohio is hitting .282 this season, and its bullpen is second in the conference with a 3.22 ERA.
Senior Yasmine Logan leads the Bobcats with a .564 slugging percentage, 21 runs scored, 27 RBIs, and seven homers this year. Reigning MAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year, Skipp Miller has a 2.63 ERA in 133.0 innings of work, with 74 strikeouts, and three shutouts on the year.
