Toledo will send distance runners to Raleigh Relays and sprinters/hurdlers/jumpers to Oliver Nikoloff Invitational
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's track & field team will continue their outdoor season this weekend, sending its distance runners to the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State and the sprinters/hurdlers/jumpers to Cincinnati for the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational.
Freshman Nora Hark, who will join the distance runners in North Carolina this weekend, started off her collegiate career by winning the javelin with a result of 40.10 meters (131-7), at Miami's Blizzard buster last weekend. Hark's throw ranks sixth in school history and was the best distance in the MAC so far this season.
On the track, sophomores Michaela McGill and Aubrey Duhaime and freshman Lillian Nasta opened their season with the 1500m , finishing12th, 18th, and 23rd, respectively. Junior Sydney Caddell, who will participate in the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational, took eighth in the long jump (4.89m) last weekend.
The Toledo men's cross-country team will also send runners to compete this weekend at Raleigh .
Next week, the Rockets will reunite as a full squad and head to the Spartan Invitational hosted by Michigan State on Friday, April 5.
