Senior shoots one-over par 73 in opening round
AWENDAW, S.C. – Senior Barend Botha fired a one-over par 73 to lead the Toledo men's golf team in Sunday's opening round of the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 7,266-yard Bulls Bay Golf Club.
Botha led the Rockets with four birdies today and is tied for 22nd place. Senior NJ Botha finished with three birdies and is one stroke behind his brother, tied for 31st place.
The remainder of the Rockets' lineup consists of senior Palmer Yenrick (T-72nd/78), senior Jamie Tofte Nielsen (T-76th/79) and junior Jamie Butler (81st/82).
The Rockets will begin tomorrow's second round with tee times beginning at 10:30 a.m.
