Freshman Nora Hark takes first in the javelin in her first collegiate meet

OXFORD, Ohio – The Toledo women's track and field team opened its outdoor season on Friday at the Blizzard Buster hosted by Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Freshman Nora Hark started off her college career by winning the javelin with a result of 40.10 meters (131-7), which is the sixth-best result in school history.

Sophomores Michaela McGill (12^th-4:47.41) and Aubrey Duhaime (18^th-4:54.56) and freshman Lillian Nasta (23^rd-5:09.28) competed in the 1500m, while senior Sydney Caddell took eighth in the long jump (4.89m).

The Rockets will split time next weekend, sending a group to Raleigh, NC to take part in NC State's Raleigh Relays on March 28-30, and another group down to Cincinnati for Cincinnati's Oliver Nikoloff Invitational on March 29-30.
