Senior registers fourth Top 10 finish of season
AUBURN, Ala. – Senior Barend Botha led the Toledo men's golf team on Tuesday by tying for seventh place at Auburn's Tiger Invitational by Jason Dufner. The tournament was played at the par-72, 7,591-yard Auburn University Club.
Botha posted a seven-over par 223 over 54 holes after carding a five-over par 77 in today's final round.
Junior CJ van Wyk posted the Rockets' next best finish by tying for 49th place with 234 but was competing as an individual.
The remainder of the Rockets' lineup included senior Palmer Yenrick (T-62nd/+21), senior NJ Botha (T-64th/+22), senior Jamie Tofte Nielsen (T-67th/+23) and sophomore Mads Jensen (T-82nd/+29).
Toledo will return to action on Sunday-Tuesday, March 24-26 when it travels to Awendaw, S.C. for The Hootie at Bulls Bay Club.
